On November 10, 2025, Italian climber Simon Gitl and German ice climbing world champion Ines Papert made a first ascent of a new combined route «Lumina» (M8-) along the northeastern wall of the peak Wildgall (3273 m), Rieserferner Group mountain range in Central Alps.

The route was climbed without bolts and initially had a difficulty rating of M7 A0, but after free climbing, a 300-meter section received an overall difficulty rating of M8-.

Gitl led on all sections of the route except the third. Route«Lumina» (M8-) requires excellent mountaineering experience and a careful assessment of the terrain difficulty. Given the high risk of rockfall, it is recommended to climb it only in cold, stable weather.
