Национальный парк Гран-Парадизо. Италия, Доломиты

Gran Paradiso National Park is the pride of the region, encompassing several valleys: Cogne, Valsavarenche, and Rhemes-Notre-Dame. At its center rises the only entirely Italian peak over four thousand meters—Gran Paradiso.

The park strictly enforces rules: fires, camping, littering, and damaging natural features are prohibited. Also, visitors are not allowed to stray from the designated trails—park staff closely monitor this. Thanks to this arrangement, visitors can observe a wide variety of alpine animals in their natural environment.

The Congne Valley offers a unique view to the top of Gran Paradiso, the top of which is covered with snow even in summer. From here, there is a route to the Loson Pass (3,299 m) – an interesting and challenging trek, and as a reward for the effort of the climb, you will be rewarded with the beauty of glaciers and snow-capped mountains.

The most popular hiking trails from Valsavaranche are to the Vittorio Emanuele and Federico Chabot huts (2710 m), and to the peaks rising above them. The Entrelor Pass (3,002 m) is also popular with travelers.
